Awareness campaign game Voted Digital Campaign of the Week by Third Sector magazine.
Save the Children is a charity committed to improving child welfare and saving lives in 120 countries.
They came to Elixirr Digital needing a Facebook application during the run up to the General Election. Its purpose was to propel the issue of child poverty up the political agenda.
The campaign had to be completed to a tight deadline and any development had to be deployed with minimal testing.
Innovative development capabilities
The “Peck, Pester, Pee” application was storyboarded with the various animations being visualised.
These were signed off by the client and then the application was built for Facebook and their website.
To reduce testing time, the application was created on a virtual environment that replicated Save the Children’s server.
A highly successful application that met the campaign objectives
The application was delivered in just 4 weeks. It met Facebook’s strict admission guidelines and was deployed on the Save the Children website without incident.
It successfully raised awareness for child poverty during the General Election through social engagement. Accolades for the campaign were also achieved. Third Sector Magazine, the leading not-for-profit publication voted it their Digital Campaign of the Week.
